Oliver Heald, MP for North East Hertfordshire, is welcoming the launch of an initiative by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills called “Business Focus on Enforcement.” Following on from the Government’s Red Tape Challenge, this scheme has been introduced to assist those businesses which are struggling with over complex guidance or the inconsistent or inappropriate implementation of government regulation which deters them from taking on new employees and investing in the economy.
Those companies which want to suggest an area which needs reform can register their interest on the relevant section of the BIS website or they can email BIS officials at: focusonenforcement@bis.gsi.gov.uk.
Commenting Oliver Heald said “I can see that overcomplicated guidance and regulation might well hinder firms which are considering expanding their business and I encourage local companies in my constituencies to take part in this scheme so that these areas can be reviewed and are more straightforward in the future.”
