MP for North East Hertfordshire, Sir Oliver Heald, took local pupils’ action plans to Number 10 today. The “Send my Friend to School” campaign brings together thousands of children across the UK to speak up for the right to an education, and raise awareness of the fact that 58,000,000 children worldwide have not had the chance to go to school.

Commenting, Sir Oliver said, “I congratulate the students at Meridian and St Chris’s, and was happy to pass their plans on to the PM. The ‘Send my Friend to School’ campaign is an important one. Education is a right that we all share, but there are millions of children around the world who are currently unable to enjoy it. Spreading education will ensure personal fulfilment and economic growth across the globe.”
