MP for North East Hertfordshire, Sir Oliver Heald, has welcomed the news that five schools in North East Hertfordshire - Knights Templar School, Ralph Sadleir School, Woolgrove School, Roysia Middle School, and Freman College – will receive funding for works to improve school buildings and construct new ones. This is part of an extra £367 million that the Government has allocated for investment in buildings at over a thousand schools across the country. The Condition Improvement Fund targets schools that need additional money for repairs, or to help them expand.
Commenting, Sir Oliver said, “I am delighted that schools in North East Hertfordshire have secured this funding. It will help ensure that school pupils in the constituency will get a good education at a local school, giving them the skills they need to get on in life.”
