In a debate on public sector pay, on 5th July, North Herts MP, Sir Oliver Heald asked the Chief Secretary to the Treasury Elizabeth Truss whether she was aware that the NHS has attracted workers from across the EU, particularly in nursing.
North East Herts MP Sir Oliver Heald joined other dignitaries, family, friends and the congregation of St John the Baptist Parish Church in Royston on Sunday morning for the first Eucharist celebrated by Revd Theresa Musiwacho. Theresa had been priested the previous day at St Alban’s Abbey.
Following representations from constituents in Baldock and recent coverage in the Comet newspaper, North East Hertfordshire MP Sir Oliver Heald is to hold a meeting at Westminster with senior executives from Barclays Bank.
Sir Oliver has said: "I would like to thank voters in North East Hertfordshire for re-electing me as their Member of Parliament. It is a great honour and privilege to represent this constituency again, and I pledge to work hard for all of my constituents."
Sir Oliver Heald has been shocked by the terrible incident that took place in the Manchester Arena on 22nd May. His thoughts and prayers are with the victims, and the families and friends of those affected. This was among the worst terrorist incidents ever experienced in the United Kingdom.
