Sir Oliver welcomes increased CPR training

MP for North East Hertfordshire, Sir Oliver Heald, is welcoming news that the British Heart Foundation and the Department of Health are launching a £1 million partnership to make public access defibrillators (PADs) and CPR training more widely available across England in order to create a “Nation of Lifesavers”. 

Sir Oliver Heald MP welcomes National Lottery funding for sport in North East Hertfordshire

MP for North East Hertfordshire, Sir Oliver Heald, is welcoming Sport England’s decision to invest £250,000 of National Lottery funding in Get Active North Herts. This investment is part of Sport England’s latest round of awards made through its Community Sport Activation Fund which invests in local projects to get local people more active.

MP welcomes Royston Community Health survey

North East Herts MP, Sir Oliver Heald, welcomes the new survey being undertaken by Royston Community Health, the Community Interest Company pressing for an improved NHS health care hub and beds at the Royston Hospital site to be co-located with social care provision.

Sir Oliver Heald MP wears it pink in Westminster in aid of Breast Cancer Now

 Sir Oliver Heald, MP for North East Hertfordshire, has shown his support for women with breast cancer by joining fellow parliamentarians in dressing in pink, and encouraging his constituents to take part in Breast Cancer Now’s flagship fundraiser, ‘Wear It Pink’, on Friday 23rd October. Now in its 14th year, ‘Wear It Pink’ raises over £2 million each year for world-class research into breast cancer.
