The Boundary Commission’s final proposals were published on 10 September and suggest removing villages such as Walkern and Watton-at-Stone from NE Hertfordshire constituency and placing them in Stevenage. The Hertford Rural wards of NE Herts will be placed in Welwyn & Hatfield. In addition,
North East Herts MP, Sir Oliver Heald, has pledged his support to the ‘Rural Crime Reporting Line’, a new service for farmers and the public to call time on rural crime, which has become an increasingly serious concern for rural communities.
Sir Oliver Heald MP was delighted that following his nomination of the Butterfly Volunteers, they were selected as winners of the Care and Compassion Award in a ceremony at the House of Commons on 4th July.
