Rory Stewart, a Minister at the Environment Department, has accepted an invitation from Sir Oliver to meet with him and Johnson Matthey (JM). JM is a FTSE100 company based in Royston, and the leading manufacturer of vehicle emissions equipment.
Sir Oliver asked Mr Stewart a question in the House of Commons on emissions, in which Oliver praised Johnson Matthey’s internationally-recognised work on autocatalysts and diesel emissions technology. Mr Stewart paid tribute to this work and said that he looked forward to meeting the company with its ‘innovative technology’.
Commenting, Sir Oliver said, “I am glad to have had a chance to praise Johnson Matthey for their world-leading work, and I will be delighted to attend the meeting when he learns what is possible in anti-pollution diesel emissions technology.”
