Commenting on plans to expand Luton Airport, North East Herts MP Oliver Heald said, “Many residents in North Letchworth and across the villages of North East Hertfordshire have already raised concerns with me about aircraft noise as planes come to and from Luton Airport. People tolerate this only because of the convenience of having a local airport, but they do not want a big expansion. We should not forget that our roads are already very busy and we do not want to suck in even more vehicles to our area.”
Oliver has responded formally to the Public Consultation about the proposed expansion of Luton and is encouraging all constituents to do the same. The consultation is running from Monday 13 February to Monday 26March, during which time members of the public can submit their feedback on the proposals via the following methods:
