North East Herts MP Oliver Heald has contacted Divisional Commander Chief Superintendent Al Thomas concerning reports of proposals to cut the hours at Royston Police Station.
Commenting, Oliver Heald said, “Royston is many miles from other towns and our Police Station is an important part of the visible Police presence in the town, which contributes to a sense of law and order and security. It is therefore very important that it should be open for an adequate period each day and I have immediately contacted the Divisional Commander to find out what the position is and to make strong representations about the hours of opening.”
