North East Herts MP Oliver Heald was pleased that Barclays Bank changed their minds and decided to join other banks in allowing their customers to access cash by card at the Post Office. Oliver was one of a number of MPs who joined with Labour MP Chris Elmore in writing to Barclays pressing for this change of heart and he had also taken the matter up with the Minister, Kelly Tolhurst MP.
Commenting, Oliver said “I am pleased that Barclays have changed their minds and will now be continuing to offer this service through the Post Office. When local branches are closed all the banks have promised that there would be this facility and recently Barclays offered this in Buntingford. This is a victory for comment sense.”
