Commenting, Oliver Heald said, “I was delighted to be able to take this important Bill through Parliament and that it has already been used on a number of occasions to prosecute offenders who attacked police dogs.  I was very touched to be given this Award and was happy to be able to help my constituent, P C Dave Wardell, in his campaign for proper recognition of service animals who are valued public servants.”
