East Herts District Council has opened up its second round of funding for rural groups and Sir Oliver Heald is encouraging those that are eligible to apply. The funding that is available is for large and small Capital Grants and is intended for parish councils, voluntary and community groups, sports clubs, charities, youth organisations and social enterprises which expressly serve rural areas of East Herts. Preference will be given to groups in rural areas which have not already benefitted from New Homes Bonus money. More details about the grants and how to apply can be found by clicking here and the funding round is open until Tuesday 16 December.
Commenting Sir Oliver said “I hope that rural groups will apply for this funding. I am a big supporter of community groups and I would like to see as many as possible in rural areas, where there are fewer local amenities anyway, to benefit.”
