North East Hertfordshire MP Sir Oliver Heald has welcomed the decision to award the contract for Older People’s Care for Royston and Cambridgeshire to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Almost 300 Royston residents had taken part in the public consultation, including the North East Hertfordshire MP, and over 100 attended the packed meeting at Queen’s Road Church.
Commenting Sir Oliver Heald said “I have previously had discussions with Keith McNeil, Chief Executive of Addenbrooke’s about devolving more services to Royston Hospital and I know that many Royston residents are hoping that the new contract means that this will happen. I have already contacted Dr McNeil to welcome their success and press for the new services in Royston.”
