MP for North East Hertfordshire, Sir Oliver Heald, attended the Magna Carta Fair at Walkern Hall on Saturday.
Commenting, he said, “The Fair was very enjoyable and the Village Play was exactly as it should be, explaining Magna Carta and Walkern’s role in it through the local Baron, William de Lanvalei. Local Councillor Ken Crofton made a colourful King John. The show of arms, falconry, and crafts was excellent, and the Brewery Tea Rooms laid on some much needed tea and cakes. I pay tribute to Janet Woodall and the Committee.”
