The Department for Transport is making available £30m for Local Bus Service Enhancements. Hertfordshire County Council is using £401,000 to increase the frequency of, and improve, Local Bus Services throughout Hertfordshire.

Following his representations, North East Herts MP, Sir Oliver Heald, has welcomed news that Redrow will plant more new trees than they felled and with a landscaping plan to be agreed with North Herts District Council after consultation with Royston Town Council and the Conservators of the Heath
Residents have contacted me regarding the felling of trees along Baldock Road. I immediately took this up with Redrow the developers and I received this response. I am now following this up with Hertfordshire County Council and North Hertfordshire District Council.
To mark the 75th anniversaries of VE and VJ Day, on the 8th May and 15th August respectively, veterans of the Second World War, both military and civilian, are being asked to register to be part of the nation’s commemorations.

North East Herts MP Oliver Heald was delighted to receive a Special Recognition Award from the Chief Constable Charlie Hall to recognise his work in taking the Animal Welfare (Service Animals) Act 2019 through Parliament. He received the Award at County Police Headquarters in Welwyn Garden City.
