Councillors Fiona Hill, Tony Hunter and Bill Davidson met representatives of the Clinical Commissioning Group, NHS Property Services and NHS England on Friday to press for action on the Hospital. The Councillors then met local MP Oliver Heald who has written to stakeholders, including local GPs, pressing for commitment to the new health facility at London Road.
Commenting after the meeting, Councillor Fiona Hill said "There has been a pause for reflection, now we want to see a positive plan for the future, sooner rather than later." Councillor Tony Hunter said "Royston has waited long enough." Oliver Heald said "The time has come for firm commitment by health commissioners, GPs and the NHS so that Royston gets its new health facility."
