At the Conservative conference, the Prime Minister explained in more detail her vision of a country that works for everyone, not just the privileged few. She set out the clear case for the good that government can do while stating that political visions need to be accompanied by hard work and practical implementation.

Sir Oliver comments on David Cameron's retirement from Parliament

"I was sorry to hear that David Cameron is retiring from Parliament. The country owes him a debt for leading the country back to economic recovery, for keeping Scotland in the UK, for his focus on the environment, and for his social reforms in health and education. He also led the Coalition with great skill, patience, and diplomacy. He was widely liked and admired as Prime Minister, and I was proud to serve in his Shadow Cabinet and then later, in government, as his Solicitor General. On a personal level, I am sure that my constituents would wish him and Samantha a happy and successful future."

Sir Oliver Heald answers first questions as Justice Minister

MP for North East Hertfordshire, Sir Oliver Heald, has answered his first Parliamentary questions as the Minister of State for Courts and Justice. In the Commons, he answered questions on legal aid, court provision, and court efficiency.
