North East Herts MP Oliver Heald is putting out a call for volunteers to help with the Herts at War Project looking at the involvement of Hertfordshire in the First World War.
Herts at War is a not-for-profit organisation developing an Exhibition, battlefield educational tours, a programme of events, website www.hertsatwar.co.uk memorial and other projects about the First World War and Hertfordshire.
With this in mind, the project manager, Dan Hill, is looking for volunteers to help with a range of tasks; organising events, inputting data, clerical and research duties. North East Herts MP Oliver Heald supported the setting up of this project and its bid for Lottery funding. The project is now getting under way with premises in Letchworth, but much of the work can be done remotely. The aim is to chronicle the activities of all those from the County who fought and the memorial covers all the war dead.
Dan Hill would therefore welcome volunteers from across Hertfordshire. His contact details are hertsatwar@gmail.com
