North East Herts MP Oliver Heald is asking charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations in his Constituency to help the Government cut red tape.
Ministers have set up a task force to investigate and recommend measures to reduce the burdens on small organisations. It is a vital tool in achieving the Government’s aim to make it easier to run a charity, social enterprise or voluntary organisation. The task force will be chaired by Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbotts, who has spent his career advising and working for SMEs and is currently President of NCVO.
Commenting, Oliver Heald said, “The Coalition Government is determined to lift the burden of red tape on organisations working for the good of the community. It would be very helpful to receive examples of how bureaucracy causes unnecessary burdens for charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations in my Constituency. The information can be sent to me at healdo@parliament.uk, or direct to the task force at red.tape.taskforce@cabinet-office.x.gsi.gov.uk”
