North East Herts MP, Oliver Heald, spent Friday in the House of Commons supporting MP James Wharton’s EU Referendum Bill which is making good progress through Parliament. Oliver is one of the authors of the Bill. The Bill would make it law that a referendum on Britain’s membership of the EU has to take place before the end of 2017. Labour MPs attempted to slow down the Bill using parliamentary tactics such as making very long speeches. Slamming the Labour wreckers OH said:
"There is huge public support for a referendum and this Bill would set a deadline. I deplore Labour’s wrecking tactics. They should be ashamed of themselves."
