North East Herts MP Oliver Heald visited the Letchworth Partnership Pod at Northfields Infants School recently.
This is the building used to help families to thrive and has space for professional meetings, child protection and family case conferences, parenting courses, adult learning and children’s centre outreach and drop-in services. Oliver strongly supported the bid to the County Council for funding for the scheme. The building was completed recently.
Commenting, Oliver Heald said, “Although Letchworth Garden City is one of the most popular places to live in Britain, we still have families needing help in order to thrive and it was good to be able to visit the Pod, meet parents who had attended courses and talk to the staff and management at this Children’s Centre, with outreach and drop-in services.
“I wish them well with this important project.”
