North East Herts MP Oliver Heald has welcomed the decision to refuse the Appeal for permission for three wind turbines in Benington.
Oliver gave evidence at the Inquiry, attended the Rally organised by the Stop Benington Windfarm Action Group, and also gave written evidence against the proposal.
Commenting, Oliver Heald said, “I welcome this decision by Inspector Brooks. He particularly makes the point that the Green Belt should be respected and cites the important landscape features which need protection.
“The Beane Valley contains a precious landscape and I am glad that it is not going to be damaged by three wind turbines about the height of the London Eye. I believe that the Campaign has been very well organised and am glad that it has succeeded.”
