North East Herts MP Oliver Heald was pleased to learn that Hertfordshire Police Authority has agreed to include anti-social motoring as a priority in the Policing Plan. Right across the North East Hertfordshire Constituency (181 sq miles) constituents raise concerns with Oliver and local Councillors regularly about speeding and aggressive driving. Oliver has raised this issue repeatedly with the Chief Constable and local Police chiefs.
Commenting, Oliver Heald said, “I am delighted that the Police have recognised the widespread concerns about speeding and aggressive driving in my Constituency and will be giving this priority in the coming months. The way some people drive down small country lanes is appalling, selfish and dangerous. They need a wake-up call in their own interests, as well as those of local residents.”
