The increasingly popular NCS youth programme is open to 15-17 year olds and helps young people to prepare for their future.
With the average number of job applications for entry level roles doubling to 92 since 2013, NCS is an excellent way for teenagers to set themselves apart from the crowd.
After an action-packed trip to an outdoor activity centre, young people attend a series of exclusive workshops that teach vital skills such as CV writing, interview techniques and independent living.
Teenagers then work together to design and deliver their own community project. As well as a chance to give back to their community, the project allows teens to develop even more key skills, such as teamwork, leadership and commercial awareness.
Commenting, Sir Oliver said: “I am pleased that NCS is once again coming to Hertfordshire. I would urge all young people to take part , as it is a perfect way to stand out on job and university applications.”
The next NCS programme starts this February half term. For more information visit www.ncseast.co.uk or call 0845 460 7410.
