Following his latest meeting with all flood agencies to discuss Little Hadham measures, MP for North-East Hertfordshire Sir Oliver Heald has heard from Andrew Stevenson of East Herts District Council that flood grants of £33,000 have been approved for individuals affected by the flooding to undertake repairs and resilience measures. The money will be paid out when invoices are sent to the Council. A business support grant of £4000 has been paid too.
Commenting, Sir Oliver said, “I am continuing to meet with the Parish Council and the agencies involved in flood prevention and alleviation. I am pleased to learn that money has now been approved for repairs and renewal and that a business grant has been paid. These are central government schemes run by our District Council.”
