Sir Oliver Heald MP for North East Hertfordshire is looking forward to this year’s Royston Arts Festival which runs between 19 to 28 September. The Festival has a packed programme of events which will be taking place in and around the town between these dates. It has also boasts an event on Saturday 27 September with the famous trumpet soloist Alison Balsom who grew up and went to school in Royston and is also the Arts Festival’s President.
Commenting Sir Oliver said “I always look forward to the Royston Arts Festival and am pleased to see that once again there is such a wide variety of events for people to attend. It is great to hear that Alison Balsom will be holding a talk followed by a Q and A session on Saturday 27 September at Greneway School where she went to school herself. I understand her recent album “Paris” is currently No.1 in the official classical album chart which is a fantastic achievement. I am sure her efforts are a great inspiration to those in North East Hertfordshire.
“I look forward to visiting as much of the Festival as I can. Those who wish to find out more about the programme can do so by visiting the Royston Arts Festival’s home page and clicking on the online programme."
