Sir Oliver Heald MP has taken the opportunity of Trustees’ Week to thank the Trustees of the 342 voluntary organisations in North East Hertfordshire, all of which rely on the dedication, energy and commitment of around 1,700 trustees in order to support their beneficiaries.
Commenting, Sir Oliver said, “Trustees are the people ultimately in charge of a charity. They make decisions that help charities achieve their aims and change their beneficiaries’ lives, and their hard work it vital for the charity’s succes. Although it is an important role that needs commitment and dedication, the rewards can be great, and I would urge my constituents to consider whether it is a role they could take on for one of the many local charities looking for Trustees. Trustee vacancies locally can be found through NCVO’s Trustee Bank, Charity Job and Do It.”
